She also focuses on U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) programs that promote renewable energy producers and the manufacturing supply chain. In support of these industries, Ms. Lane has advocated on tax issues related to renewable energy, helping to successfully deliver long-term extensions of incentives including the biodiesel and renewable diesel tax credits.

Through her pro-bono work at Holland & Knight, Ms. Lane coordinates a Washington, D.C.-based ad hoc coalition of Arctic environmental researchers, climate scientists and international policy professionals engaged on climate issues. She also serves as director of the D.C. Chapter of Young Professionals in Energy (YPE), a nonprofit network of more than 2,000 D.C.-based professionals in the energy space. Prior to joining Holland & Knight, Ms. Lane spent six years serving as an assistant editor at a renewable fuels trade publication where she reported on industry and policy developments in the biofuels and renewable chemical sectors. She also worked as an associate at a government relations firm in Northern Virginia, where she provided legislative monitoring and federal advocacy services for several municipal clients, focusing on transportation, infrastructure and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers issues.
