Jonathan E. Anderman is an associate in Holland & Knight's Boston office and a member of the firm's Healthcare & Life Sciences, Mergers and Acquisitions, and White Collar Defense and Investigations Teams. He focuses exclusively on the healthcare industry and works with a diverse base of clients in that industry, including pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturers, pharmacies (retail, specialty, long-term care and mail order), wholesalers and distributors, pharmacy benefits managers, insurers and managed care organizations. He also advises technology companies, venture capital, private equity and other investors in the healthcare space. Mr. Anderman counsels these clients on healthcare regulatory matters, fraud, abuse, compliance matters and corporate transactional matters.  

Mr. Anderman advises clients on all stages of a variety of corporate and contractual transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, financings, product development and supply, licensing, technology transfer, joint ventures and various other service and supply chain transactions. In addition, he represents clients in internal investigations and in matters before state and federal regulatory and law enforcement authorities, such as the Department of Justice, United States Attorney offices, State Attorney General offices, and the Office of the Inspector General of the Department of Health and Human Services, most frequently relating to the federal False Claims Act, the Anti-Kickback Statute, and the Stark Law, as well as various state analogues.

In addition to his practice, Mr. Anderman is active in the healthcare industry and in the community. He is an author of the American Bar Association's What is Stark Law? book, Practising Law Institute's Corporate Compliance Answer Book, and various other industry publications. Mr. Anderman is a 2012 graduate of LeadBoston, an executive leadership program focused on civic engagement and social responsibility. He holds various leadership positions both within and outside of the firm. Mr. Anderman also maintains an active pro bono practice, including extensive work organizing and providing legal assistance to communities affected by Hurricane Katrina. He also has extensive international volunteer experience, most frequently working with medical clinics in Honduras
