Holland & Knight Adds Business and Public Policy Attorney Seth Belzley

DENVER/HOUSTON (April 11, 2016) – Seth Belzley has joined Holland & Knight as a partner in the firm’s Denver and Houston offices. He will counsel clients on a wide range of transactional and regulatory matters, focusing on commercial transactions, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, project development and public policy issues. Most recently, he was a counsel with Hogan Lovells and previously served as senior vice president and assistant general counsel at TransMontaigne Inc., a Fortune 500 oil pipeline and terminal company based in Denver.

Mr. Belzley’s significant experience in the energy industry includes representing energy infrastructure developers and operators, physical commodities traders, and buyers and sellers of hydrocarbons on a wide variety of commercial and corporate transactions. He also advises clients on issues facing master limited partnerships, including corporate governance, dropdown transactions, intercompany arrangements and qualifying income issues, and has extensive experience handling disclosures required of public companies.

Mr. Belzley has had a longstanding commitment, both personally and as part of his practice, to helping nonprofits and government leaders navigate regulatory, policy and political issues on the local, state and national levels, especially with respect to finance and disclosure issues. He is familiar with the regulatory and public policy issues facing the energy industry around the country and regularly advises companies and nonprofits on dealing retroactively and proactively with these issues.

Mr. Belzley received a J.D. degree from the University of Texas School of Law and a B.A. degree from Colorado College.
