Holland & Knight Represents Bladex and ICBC Peru in Loan to Peru’s Agrobanco

NEW YORK (September 4, 2015) – Holland & Knight advised Banco Latinoamericano de Comercio Exterior S.A. (Bladex) and ICBC Peru Bank S.A., as joint lead arrangers, on a $25 million club loan to Banco Agropecuario S.A. - Agrobanco, a Peruvian public development bank focused on the agricultural and fishing sectors. The transaction closed on Aug. 31.

Agrobanco will use the proceeds from the loan for general corporate purposes, including to increase its loan portfolio. Bladex acted as administrative agent.

Holland & Knight acted as counsel to Bladex and ICBC Peru along with Muñiz, Ramírez, Pérez-Taiman & Olaya Abogados in Lima, Peru. Holland & Knight’s team included New York-based partner Stephen Double and associate Carlos Meza, and international law clerk Juan Carlos Valdivieso in Miami.
