In LA, Conflicts Arise Despite A Resurgence In Development

Real estate attorneys say the downtown area of Los Angeles is undergoing a renaissance as it sees a resurgence in development. Developers are investing in both residential and hotel projects but are conflicted about building high-rise buildings in the city's downtown due to concerns about the market, seismic activity and the city's regulatory process for this type of development.

“There are a number of prospective tenants looking at moves from the Westside back into the downtown area,” Real Estate Partner Susan Booth said. “People are giving downtown another look.”
