Transportation Legislation And Regulation To Watch In 2016

The FAST Act, an enormous piece of legislation enacted in late 2015, is likely to inspire offshoot legislation and policy changes as it is implemented in 2016.
"In the next [congressional] session there will be a significant amount of FAST Act implementation and some of that will be in the regulatory environment while much of it will be in terms of oversight and making sure that DOT and its agencies responsible for executing FAST Act provisions undertake them with due dispatch and honor the intent of the Congress," said attorney David Whitestone. "That bill will continue to have an activity tail for the next several years really."
