Overview

Eli Brander is a tax attorney in Holland & Knight's Washington, D.C., office. Mr. Brander broadly focuses his practice on tax matters relating to renewable and alternative energy, traditional energy and utilities.

Mr. Brander began his legal career focusing on energy taxation at the IRS Office of Chief Counsel. As an IRS Chief Counsel attorney, he drafted regulatory and sub-regulatory guidance and advised the IRS on a broad variety of energy tax matters. Mr. Brander's practice includes advising clients on the Inflation Reduction Act, normalization issues and nuclear decommissioning, as well as representing clients seeking legislative and regulatory changes to tax laws.

Not yet admitted to District of Columbia Bar; admitted to New York Bar and New Jersey Bar only and practicing under supervision of lawyers licensed to practice in District of Columbia.
