$350 Million Acquisition Produces Largest PPO
In a transaction that created the health care industry's largest PPO network and medical cost management company, Holland & Knight represented Private HealthCare Systems, Inc., (PHCS) in its acquisition by Multiplan, Inc., a portfolio company of The Carlyle Group, a private equity firm. The Holland & Knight team represented PHCS in a wide variety of matters, including corporate, contractual, regulatory due diligence, tax, ERISA, antitrust, and PHCS' new health services agreements with its sellers. The $350 million transaction produced a health care network that covers 40 million Americans.
