First Free Trade Agreement with a Persion Gulf Country
Holland & Knight represented the Kingdom of Bahrain in conjunction with the U.S.-Bahrain Free Trade Agreement. We prepared the Government of Bahrain ("GOV") for FTA negotiations with the U.S., led their lobbying and congressional outreach, expanded and coordinated efforts of the Bahrain business coalition and managed their public relations including media, messaging and branding. This comprehensive approach, based on our experience and relationships, led to the most support in Congress for a free trade agreement ever and the first with a Persian Gulf country.
