Private Development Company Acquires Destination Resort in Mexico
Holland & Knight attorneys represented a privately held real estate investment, development and management firm in its acquisition of a destination resort located in Zihuatanejo, Mexico. The transaction involved a joint venture with an equity investor, a multistage purchase of the shares from the Mexican company that owned the hotel, and debt financing from a U.S. financial institution. Holland & Knight's team also provided counsel in the tax planning and financing aspects of the acquisition.
