- H. Rept. 107-290. The House Committee on Ways and Means, has filed a report on the Andean Trade Promotion and Drug Eradication Act, H.R. 3009. The Committee report amends the bill by broadening the list of articles that are ineligible for preferential treatment and recommends passage of the bill with the amendment.
- S. 1671. A bill to amend the Trade Act of 1974 to provide for duty-free treatment under the Generalized System of Preferences program for hand-knotted or hand-woven carpets and leather gloves was introduced in the Senate and referred to the Committee on Finance.
- S. 1675. A bill to authorize the President to reduce or suspend duties on textiles and textile products made in Pakistan until December 31, 2004, was introduced in the Senate and referred to the Committee on Finance.
