- The Advisory Committee on International Economic Policy public meeting
will be held on December 12, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in the Loy
Henderson Auditorium at the State Department. The meeting will be hosted by
Committee Chairman R. Michael Gadbaw and Assistant Secretary of State for
Economic and Business Affairs E. Anthony Wayne. The Committee advises the
U.S. Government on issues and problems in international economic policy by
providing expertise and insight that are not available within the U.S.
Government. Topics for the December 12 meeting will be: China's Accession to
the WTO; Results of the Doha WTO Ministerial; and The Campaign Against
International Terrorism. Persons interested in attending will need to
provide name, title, company or other affiliation if appropriate, social
security number, date of birth, and citizenship information by fax to

by December 10th. Attendees must present a driver's license with photo,
a passport, a U.S. Government ID, or other valid photo ID for entry. For

- The Defense Trade Advisory Group will meet in open session beginning at
8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, December 12, 2001, in Room F-3420 at the National
Foreign Affairs Training Center (NFATC), 4000 Arlington Blvd., Arlington,
VA. The committee advises the Department on policies, regulations, and
technical issues affecting defense trade. The purpose of the meeting will be
to review progress of the working groups and to discuss current defense
trade issues and topics for further study. Members of the public may attend
the open session as seating capacity allows, and will be permitted to
participate in the discussion in accordance with the Chairman's
instructions. Members of the public may, if they wish, submit a brief
statement to the committee in writing. Persons wishing to attend the meeting
must notify the Group’s Executive Secretariat by December 6,
2001. Each non-member observer wishing to attend should provide his/her
name, company or organizational affiliation, date of birth, and social
