SEC to Hold Roundtable on Modernizing Disclosure System

On Wednesday, October 8, 2008, at 9:00 a.m. EDT at the SEC’s headquarters, the SEC will hold a roundtable open to the public to discuss modernizing the SEC’s financial disclosure system. The discussion will consider the information needs of investors, public companies and others, and how modern technology can improve transparency and ease of use of disclosure information. The roundtable will be organized into two panels, with each panel being comprised of investors, issuers, academics and other parties with experience with the SEC’s financial disclosure system.
