Holland & Knight lawyers Laurie Webb Daniel and Christopher Carmichael recently authored an amicus curiae brief filed on behalf of The Constitution Project in a juvenile death penalty case that is currently pending in the U.S. Supreme Court.
National, regional, international, religious and broadcast media have taken notice of this important filing which argues that the execution of a person who was less than 18 at the time of the crime is cruel and unusual punishment prohibited by the Eighth Amendment.
