October 19, 2006

Christopher Boyett - Miami

MIAMI – Holland & Knight announced today that Christopher Boyett, South Florida team leader of the firm’s Private Wealth Services Team and a partner in the Miami office, has been named a Fellow by the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC) at the association's recent meeting.

ACTEC is a professional association consisting of approximately 2,700 lawyers from throughout the United States. Fellows of the College are nominated by other Fellows in their geographic area and are elected by the membership at large. A lawyer cannot apply for membership in the College. Fellows are selected on the basis of professional reputation and ability in the fields of trusts and estates and on the basis of having made substantial contributions to these fields through lecturing, writing, teaching and bar activities.

Boyett represents clients throughout Florida in estate planning and administration matters, and has extensive experience in trusts and estates litigation. He is active in the Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section of The Florida Bar and currently serves as Vice-Chair of the Trust Law Committee and as a member of the Executive Council of the Section  and the Probate Forms Committee. He previously served as Vice-Chair of the Probate Rules Committee and as Liaison to the Rules of Judicial Administration Committee.
