Holland & Knight's S. Richard Pincus Receives Distinguished Service Award from the Labor & Employment Relations Association

CHICAGO – Holland & Knight LLP is pleased to announce that S. Richard Pincus, a partner in the firm's Chicago office, has received the Distinguished Service Award from the Labor & Employment Relations Association (LERA) for his service to the labor relations community. Pincus received the award during a dinner on Dec. 12, 2007, at The Parthenon in Chicago.
Pincus has devoted his entire professional career to the practice of labor and employment law. He has handled a broad range of issues for employers including numerous employment cases before administrative agencies and federal trial and appellate courts dealing with race, age, sex and disability discrimination. He also has devoted a substantial portion of his practice to working on traditional labor matters including union organizing campaigns, arbitrations and collective bargaining. His client base includes employers in the health care, construction, newspaper and retail industries. He previously served as a trial and supervisory attorney with the National Labor Relations Board.
Pincus has been recognized nationally in labor and employment law and was recently named to the list of Top One Hundred Labor Attorneys in the United States for 2006, as compiled by Labor Relations Institute, Inc. He is a fellow in the College of Labor and Employment Lawyers, an honor limited to a small group of labor lawyers nationally who are recognized by their peers for their outstanding reputation in their field.
