Attorney James Shimberg, Jr. Named Co-Chairman of Holland & Knight's National Land Use Team

TAMPA, Fla. – James "Jim" Shimberg Jr., a partner in Holland & Knight's Tampa office, has been named co-chairman of the firm's National Land Use Team.

“The firm is pleased to announce that Jim will co-chair our National Land Use Team,” said Chad Tiedemann, Holland & Knight's Real Estate Section Leader. "The team will benefit from his outstanding leadership and extensive experience representing clients on land use, zoning, environmental and redevelopment matters."

Shimberg has been with Holland & Knight for 21 years and  practices in the areas of land use, zoning and real estate law. He also has a local government legislative practice focusing on the Tampa Bay area. He has represented clients before local, regional and state governmental bodies on issues relating to zoning, land use, local government comprehensive planning, developments of regional impact, land development and permitting issues, and vested rights for both commercial and residential properties. He also focuses on developer representation in residential and commercial transactions, including all aspects of the development of residential and commercial properties. He is the immediate past Chairman of the Tampa Downtown Partnership.
