Washington D.C. – The Washington D.C. Chapter of Commercial Real
Estate Women (CREW) awarded Janis B. Schiff, a partner at Holland & Knight LLP,
the “D.C. CREW Outstanding Achievement Award” at the Third Annual CREW DC Awards
Program on Wednesday, December 15.
Ms. Schiff is a Past President of CREW Suburban Maryland and has been a DC
CREW member for over 10 years. She has been practicing law, with a focus on
retail real estate, for 20 years and currently serves as the Deputy Section
Leader for Holland & Knight''s National Real Estate Practice.
“Janis has an unsurpassed knowledge of how the retail industry works and
strong personal relationships with the “who’s who” of retail real estate
development. Her experience has earned her the respect of her industry peers -
both on the legal and the developers side,” said Chad Tiedemann, head of Holland
& Knight’s National Real Estate Practice.
CREW is a network of female commercial real estate professionals with 5,700
members in 51 chapters all over the United States. The organization’s core
purpose is to advance the success of women in commercial real estate. CREW
honors members who have displayed leadership and commitment in promoting the
mission of CREW within the local chapter and the real estate industry. Along
with the “Outstanding Achievement Award,” CREW gives awards in the following
