Holland & Knight Named “Best Law Firm” By The Greater Washington Commercial Association of Realtors

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Holland & Knight LLP announced today that the firm has been named “Best Law Firm” by the Greater Washington Commercial Association of Realtors (GWCAR). This is the first year GWCAR bestowed this particular award, and Holland & Knight bested more than 20 other D.C.-area law firms for the honor.
As part of the organization’s annual awards, more than 500 GWCAR members were asked to nominate the “best company or firm” in a number of categories relating to commercial real estate, including Law Firm, Architecture Firm, Developer, Service Provider, Real Estate Sales, and Commercial Leasing. When all the write-in ballots were tallied, Holland & Knight came out on top in the “Law Firm” category, ahead of 24 other real estate law firms which had been nominated for the award.

Holland & Knight has the largest Real Estate Section in the country and in the Washington, D.C. region. There are 60 Real Estate attorneys in its Washington, D.C., Bethesda, Maryland, and Tysons Corner, Virginia offices who practice in the area of commercial real estate, including real estate development, land use, hospitality, resorts & timeshares, real estate finance, leasing and multifamily housing. Holland & Knight is also the only law firm in the Washington, D.C. region which has a zoning and land use practice in each of the three jurisdictions in the region.
The “Best Law Firm” award was presented at GWCAR’s 13th annual awards dinner on April 30, 2008 at the Four Seasons Hotel in Washington, D.C. All 24 nominated firms were acknowledged at the dinner.
