Tom Zimmer Named Chair of Finance Group at Holland & Knight

SAN FRANCISCO – Holland & Knight LLP announced that partner Tom Zimmer was named Chair of the
Finance Group within the firm’s Business Law Section. The Finance Group includes
attorneys who represent banks, financial institutions, investment banks,
investors, lenders, borrowers, lessors and lessees in the structuring,
negotiation, drafting and closing of commercial transactions and transactions
involving financial products. The practice areas within the Finance Group
include banking, structured finance, public finance and syndication, with
attorneys located in offices throughout the United States.
Zimmer is Executive Partner of the firm’s San Francisco office and practices
in the areas of structured finance and the representation of companies in the
financial, transportation, health care and technology industries. Zimmer is a
frequent lecturer on topics of interest to the transportation, finance and
equipment leasing industries. He is recognized as one of the leading aviation
lawyers in the “2004 Guide to the World’s Leading Aviation Lawyers.”
Partner Steven Sonberg, who chairs the Business Law Section at Holland &
Knight, is enthusiastic about Zimmer’s appointment. “With over 20 years
