WASHINGTON, D.C. – Holland & Knight LLP is pleased to announce that Joel F. Zipp has joined Holland & Knight's Washington, D.C. office as a Senior Counsel in the firm's International and Cross Borders Practice Group.
Zipp focuses his practice on energy transactions, energy markets and regulation, energy project development, and the acquisition of energy assets and capacity, primarily pipelines and LNG facilities. Zipp has been responsible for all legal aspects of pipeline project development and involved in all business and strategic decision-making for several projects, including project financing. He has advised and represented investors on federal and state energy regulatory and transactional matters involving the acquisition and construction of pipeline assets totaling billions of dollars.
Zipp is a member and former president of the Energy Bar Association. Prior to entering private practice, he served as an attorney in the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission's (FERC) Office of General Counsel and as an assistant director in its first Office of Enforcement. Zipp has been recognized in the Euromoney Guide to the World's Leading Energy and Natural Resource Lawyers and the Chambers Global guide. Zipp previously practiced at Bracewell & Giuliani; Cameron McKenna as managing partner of the Washington, D.C. and San Francisco offices; and Morley Caskin as a managing partner.
