Holland & Knight Attorney Christopher W. Price Earns LEED® Accreditation from the U.S. Green Building Council

June 17, 2009

Washington, D.C. – Holland & Knight is pleased to announce that Christopher W. Price, an associate in the firm's Washington, D.C. office, has earned accreditation from the U.S. Green Building Council and is now a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional (LEED AP), effective June 13, 2009. He is the eighth Holland & Knight attorney to earn LEED accreditation.

Price is now capable of advising and assisting Holland & Knight clients on the LEED certification process, which is designed to enable the implementation and achievement of the highest green building and environmental performance measures. He will be listed on the Green Building Certification Institute's LEED AP Directory under the "Legal" area of practice.

LEED APs have the professional knowledge and ability to help facilitate the LEED certification process for green and sustainable building. The LEED Green Building Rating System is the nationally accepted benchmark for the design, construction and operation of high-performance green buildings. LEED APs complete a rigorous certification process that includes a final exam.

Price is in the firm's real estate practice group and focuses on commercial real estate transactions involving office buildings, condominiums, mixed-use projects and shopping centers. He is admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia and he is currently practicing under the supervision of admitted District of Columbia counsel. Price received his B.A. in Political Science and Mass Communications from Washington and Lee University and earned his J.D. from Washington and Lee University, School of Law.
