Rodney Bell to Lead South Florida Securities Group at Holland & Knight

MIAMI – Holland & Knight LLP is pleased to announce that Rodney H. Bell, a partner in the firm’s Miami office, will lead the firm’s Securities and Public Companies Practice in the South Florida marketplace. The Securities and Public Companies Practice, which is part of the firm’s Business Law Section, focuses primarily on the needs of public company clients, including capital markets activities, corporate governance and M&A transactions.

Recognized by Chambers USA and other publications as a leading corporate and securities lawyer, Bell practices in the areas of securities, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate governance. His experience involves public company mergers and securities offerings, going private transactions, special committee representations, audit committee investigations, tender offers and proxy contests. Bell has represented clients in a number of industries, including pharmaceutical, healthcare, retail, restaurants, transportation and software.

Bob Grammig, who chairs the Securities and Public Companies Practice Group from the firm’s Tampa office, is enthusiastic about the continued growth of the firm’s public company practice in South Florida. “We have assembled one of the premier groups of securities lawyers in Florida, and our South Florida team has been a key part of our success. Bell earned his A. B. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1990, and his J.D. in 1993 from New York University School of Law.
