August 13, 2009

Boston – August 13, 2009 – Holland & Knight is pleased to announce that Damon Hart, a partner in the firm’s Boston office, was named to the National Bar Association Commercial Law Section Steering Committee (NBA-CLS).

NBA-CLS is one of 21 sections of the National Bar Association that is committed to bringing its members together with in-house counsel at major corporations who seek to increase the diversity of their outside counsel ranks.

Hart’s practice concentrates on commercial litigation, with particular focus on labor and employment matters. He has strong experience in a variety of complex business disputes in the federal and state courts. In addition to his litigation work, he also provides business advice to clients on contract, real estate and development matters and counsels a number of non-profits in their unique business and organizational challenges. Hart was given the "40 Under 40" award by the Boston Business Journal in 2008 and was named as one of Boston’s Ten Outstanding Young Leaders by the Boston Jaycees for outstanding professional and community leadership in 2005.

The National Bar Association, first organized in 1925, has a network of 44,000 members representing African-American members of the bar who are lawyers, judges, law professors and law students. The organization seeks to advance the science of jurisprudence, preserve the independence of the judiciary and to uphold the honor and integrity of the legal profession.
