Brian Starer responded to a recent article in Lloyd's List about the verdict of the Erika spill. Starer explains that the French court's ruling on the Erika spill was fair and took into account who was covered under existing provisions and the CLC and Fund conventions. "In the end, the French court held accountable those parties not covered by the CLC – a result neither unfair, unjust nor in any way unequal," he said.
