SEC Will Vote on a Proposal to Mandate XBRL

April 21, 2008

On Monday, April 21, 2008, the SEC will hold an open meeting where it is scheduled to vote on whether to propose amendments to mandate that SEC registrants file financial statement information in the extensible business reporting language (XBRL) format and adopt a short and long-term schedule for implementation.

Currently, registrants have the ability to participate in a voluntary program to submit supplemental tagged financial information using the XBRL format as exhibits to their Exchange Act reports or as an exhibit to a filing on Form 8-K.
