'Tiffany v. eBay': Online Contributory Trademark Breach

Trademarks are increasing more susceptible to infringement, as use of e-commerce sites and online auctions grow. It is the duty of the holder to police trademarks because failure to do so can result in lost revenue to the company and lost cache of the brand. This dispute was brought about in Tiffany (NJ) Inc. v. eBay, Inc. when the court found itself the arbiter of determining who is responsible of policing jewelry trademarks in Internet commerce.
