Holland & Knight Expands Its China Practice with the Addition of Prominent Business Lawyer in Beijing

BEIJING, CHINA – Holland & Knight LLP strengthens its capabilities in
the China market with the arrival of
Richard H. Lawrence III.
Lawrence joins the firm's International and China Practice Groups as partner
resident in the firm's Beijing office.
Lawrence, who is fluent in Mandarin Chinese, has extensive experience in
China-related matters, having represented both PRC government agencies and
state-owned enterprises and foreign investors. He has advised on a wide range of
banking, joint venture, mergers and acquisitions, private equity, project
development and finance, corporate finance, technology transfers, workouts, and
general corporate and commercial matters.
In China, Lawrence served as principal legal adviser to the Chinese sponsor
in a number of high-profile energy, infrastructure and natural resource
projects, including the Antaibao Surface Coal Mine Project, the Daya Bay Nuclear
Power Plant Project, and the Guangdong LNG Terminal and Trunk Pipeline Project.
He also advised on the Laibin B Power Plant BOT Project, the Chengdu No. 6 Water
Plant B BOT Project and the Taiwan High Speed Rail Project, among others.

Lawrence received his bachelor's degree summa cum laude from the
University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and his J.D. from Columbia Law School. He
is admitted to practice in New York and is a member of the Hong Kong Law
Society.
