33 Holland & Knight Attorneys Named Legal Elite, Hall of Fame Inductees and 'Up and Comers' by Florida Trend Magazine

July 19, 2010

The Firm Leads the Pack with More Honorees Than Any Other Firm

TAMPA, Fla. – July 19, 2010 – Holland & Knight is pleased to announce that 33 of the firm's attorneys have been named to Florida Trend magazine's 2010 Legal Elite list. The Florida Legal Elite are the top lawyers practicing in Florida, according to the results of the magazine's statewide attorney surveys.

This year's list of 948 Legal Elite attorneys represents 1.8 percent of the more than 64,000 Florida Bar members actively practicing in Florida. More than 17,500 votes were cast and the ballots were processed, checked and tabulated by Bradenton-based Outsource America and Suncoast Opinion Surveys in St Petersburg.

This year, five Holland & Knight attorneys were inducted into Florida Trend's Legal Elite Hall of Fame, which was created last year to honor those who have been Legal Elite winners for each of the past five years. A panel of lawyers were consulted to evaluate the Legal Elite and make the final selection of Hall of Fame honorees.

Additionally, Florida Bar members are asked to participate by naming three best "up and coming" attorneys who exhibit leadership in the law and in their local communities. An attorney must have practiced law for less than 10 years or be less than 40 years of age to be eligible.
