Holland & Knight Attorney Gigi Rollini Begins Terms as President of the Tallahassee Women Lawyers and President-Elect of the Florida Association for Women Lawyers

Gigi Rollini - Tallahassee

TALLAHASSEE – June 30, 2009 – Gigi Rollini, an attorney in Holland & Knight's Tallahassee office, has been elected to serve as President of the Tallahassee Women Lawyers (TWL), a local chapter of the Florida Association for Women Lawyers. Rollini will be inducted as President of TWL at an Installation Dinner on July 8, 2009, in Tallahassee, Florida.

Rollini has also been elected as President-Elect of the Florida Association for Women Lawyers (FAWL). She was installed as FAWL President-Elect at the 2009 Annual Florida Bar Convention in Orlando, Florida, on June 26, 2009.

Rollini’s term for both leadership positions officially commences on July 1, 2009. Her dual positions mean that, immediately following the conclusion of her one-year term as TWL President, Rollini will then serve as President of FAWL. Former TWL presidents who have also served as FAWL president include Administrative Law Judge June C. McKinney and Tallahassee attorneys Wendy Loquasto and Virginia Daire.

An enthusiastic and active TWL Board member since 2006, as TWL President, Rollini will continue to support the association in its efforts to promote women in the legal community, and establish and maintain supportive networks among women in the legal profession. TWL is open to all members of The Florida Bar, other state bars, community partners and law students, and consists of members from all levels of the judicial, legal and political community. Founded in 1951, TWL has been recognized as a FAWL “Most Outstanding Chapter,” and is nationally acclaimed for its programming, including its Professional Women’s Empowerment Series and CLE offerings.

Her TWL election will make her a member of the Capital City Bar Presidents Council; and, as FAWL President, Rollini will serve as FAWL’s representative on The Florida Bar's Board of Governors.

Rollini practices in the firm's Litigation section concentrating in all aspects of Florida administrative law, as well as appellate law, utility regulation and energy law. She is a triple Seminole, having received her J.D., magna cum laude, from the Florida State University College of Law, her M.P.A. from Florida State University, Reubin O'D. Askew School of Public Administration and Policy, and also her B.A. from Florida State University.
