James H. Hohenstein practices in the Litigation Section and focuses primarily in the areas of international and domestic commercial litigation, including charter parties, cargo damage actions, maritime liens, maritime bankruptcies and workouts, as well as marine casualty and insurance issues. He has participated in a wide variety of arbitrations and litigations involving such matters, both in the U.S. and abroad, and has appeared in numerous actions in New York, as well as other maritime jurisdictions in the United States. He has extensive experience in Rule B (maritime attachment) and Rule C (maritime arrest) cases as well as litigations involving submerged utility assets.
