James H. Shimberg, Jr. is the Practice Group Leader of Holland & Knight's Tampa Bay Real Estate Group and immediate past co-chair of the firm’s National Land Use Practice Group. He practices in the area of land use, zoning and real estate law. He also has a local government legislative practice focusing on the seven counties and numerous cities in the Tampa Bay area. He has represented clients before local, regional, and state governmental bodies, focusing on issues relating to zoning, land use, local government comprehensive planning, developments of regional impact, land development and permitting issues, vested rights and concurrency for commercial and residential properties. Mr. Shimberg’s practice involves frequent interaction with local, regional and state government entities in Florida. He also focuses on developer representation in residential and commercial transactions, including all aspects of the development of residential and commercial properties.
