Smeallie is a Partner in the Boston office of Holland & Knight, concentrating his practice in business litigation, with particular emphasis in litigation involving employment, education, professional liability, intellectual property and unfair competition. Mr. Smeallie is select counsel in the Boston area for United Educators Insurance Risk Retention Group, Inc., the preeminent liability insurer for educational institutions, and is Chair of the firm's Education Team. He has served as Executive Partner of the firm’s Boston office and on the firm’s Directors Committee.
