Lindsey Sands practices in the Business Law Department in the Boston office of Holland & Knight. She specializes in the syndication of partnership interests involving tax advantaged investments. Ms. Sands represents investors, developers and community development entities (CDEs) in projects involving state and federal historic, energy, and new markets tax credits, and transactions involving a combination of credits and other financing sources. She worked extensively on the first transaction to combine new markets and historic credits with HUD financing under HUD Mortgagee Letter 2009-40 and was instrumental in closing the largest new markets transaction ever closed and the largest photovoltaic solar energy facility in North America at the time. Ms. Sands has expanded her practice beyond the area of syndication into the energy field and assisted with the negotiation of a 20-year power purchase agreement for a public power authority in excess of $3 billion. She speaks frequently and writes on issues related to her practice.
