J. Michael Cavanaugh assists clients with development of infrastructure projects in the energy and utilities, transportation and communications industries. He has represented clients in transactions involving sales of nuclear and conventional power stations, and in the purchase and sale of energy, capacity and environmental attributes of wind, hydroelectric and other renewable resources, and in swaps and other hedging transactions involving such products. Mr. Cavanaugh also assists clients with international commercial transactions, including sales and distribution, joint ventures, trade regulation and establishment of overseas branch operations. He taught International Commercial Transactions at George Mason Law School for nine years and frequently lectures on this subject.
