Violeta Longino, an attorney licensed in Florida and Mexico, is a member of the International and Cross-Border Transactions Group of the law firm of Holland & Knight in Miami, Florida. She practices in the areas of corporate and international law, with an emphasis on cross-border mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, financial services and formation of business entities in Latin America, Europe and the United States. Ms. Longino also has extensive experience in transnational litigation and international arbitration including service of process pursuant to multinational conventions, the taking of discovery abroad, application of the Foreign Sovereign Immunities Act, and enforcement of foreign judgments.
Ms. Longino’s training, experience and understanding of numerous international legal systems provides her with a unique perspective on structuring transactions and with the ability to advise the client on multiple systems of law. Before joining Holland & Knight she was an associate in the Miami office of a prominent international law firm and also served as general counsel for the Mexican affiliate of a leading multinational corporation.
