Marlysha Myrthil is a Chesterfield Smith Fellow in Holland & Knight's Jacksonville office. As a Smith Fellow, Ms. Myrthil fulfills Holland & Knight’s long-standing commitment to providing distinguished legal advocacy to those who are unable to afford legal services and her personal commitment to social justice, by focusing her practice on civil rights, education, immigration, and prisoner’s rights litigation.
Ms. Myrthil’s practice includes both trial and appellate advocacy in federal and state courts. She draws from her appellate experience to shape trial strategies that preserve successful outcomes and legal issues on appeal. Ms. Myrthil is also experienced in class action litigation, and her practice regularly involves federal constitutional law and complex statutory interpretation issues.
