Alvin Benton practices in the area of bankruptcy litigation, commercial and timeshare foreclosures and general business litigation. Mr. Benton has represented creditors in a variety of commercial settings, including lenders, creditors and lessors in sophisticated Chapter 11 reorganizations, Chapter 13 cases and Chapter 7 liquidations. In addition, he has represented creditors in receiverships, debt restructuring, commercial, residential and timeshare foreclosures and fraudulent conveyance claims.
During law school, Mr. Benton served as a volunteer to the Legal Aid Society of the Orange County Bar Association and served as a judicial intern for two judges of the Ninth Judicial Circuit Court for Orange County, Fla. In law school, Mr. Benton was a member of the Florida A&M University Law Review and the Florida A&M University Moot Court Board, in addition to serving as student body president.
Mr. Benton is a member of the Orlando office Diversity Committee.
