Amy R. Rigdon practices in the area of corporate and securities law. Her practice includes mergers and acquisitions, general corporate law, investment management, and litigation. Specifically, her experience includes forming and advising hedge funds and investment advisers. Ms. Rigdon has counseled investment advisers and onshore and offshore funds on various matters, including federal registration and compliance filings, registration exemptions under state and federal law, commodities exemptions and registration, legal fiduciary obligations of investment advisers and broker-dealers, and compliance with state blue sky laws.
Additionally, Ms. Rigdon's practice includes drafting private placement memoranda for funds and drafting registration statements, amendments, and withdrawals for investment advisers. Ms. Rigdon also has experience with derivative transactions and civil litigation. Ms. Rigdon is a member of the firm's Investment Management team.
During law school, Ms. Rigdon served as a Federal Judicial Intern for the Honorable Judge Elizabeth Jenkins, Magistrate Judge in the United States District Court, Middle District of Florida.
In the firm, Ms. Rigdon is a member of the Orlando Diversity Committee, whose purpose is to promote, celebrate, support, and encourage diversity within the office and business community.
