D. Burke Kibler III is the chairman emeritus of the law firm of Holland & Knight. He has served as General Counsel of the Florida Citrus Commission, the Florida Phosphate Council, Inc., the Florida World's Fair Authority and Florida House.

Mr. Kibler also has served as a director of numerous business corporations, particularly financial institutions, including Florida National Bank, The County Bank (Bradenton), Lakeland Federal Savings & Loan Association, Florida Federal Savings & Loan Association, and currently serves as a Director and Chairman of Citrus & Chemical Bank. He is Director and Chairman of Kibler Agricultural Corporation.

He has engaged in a general business and corporate practice since graduation from law school. He served in the army as an artillery forward observer during World War II in the European Theatre, and was awarded the Bronze Star with "V" and the Purple Heart with Oak Leaf Cluster.
