Charles F. Gibbs practices in the Private Wealth Services group of the firm, concentrating in trust and estate litigation, estate planning, trust and estate administration, and matrimonial matters. He is the leader of the firm's national trust and estate litigation group.

Mr. Gibbs has been an adjunct professor teaching wills, trusts and estates at New York Law School and the University of Pennsylvania Law School. He is a fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel, a past member of the College's Board of Regents, past Editor of its quarterly journal, past Chair of its Fiduciary Litigation Committee and past Chair of its subcommittee on Will and Trust Contests. Mr. Gibbs has served as Chair of the Committee on Estate Litigation of the New York State Bar Association Trusts and Estates Section, and as Chair of the Committee on Trusts, Estates and Surrogate’s Courts of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York. Mr. Gibbs is a columnist on Estates, Trusts and Surrogate's Practice for the New York Law Journal. He has written and lectured extensively.

Mr. Gibbs received his B.A. in 1956 and earned his LL.B. in 1962 from Fordham University School of Law.
