Christopher DeLacy practices in the area of federal public law. He has extensive legislative experience with federal appropriations, defense and technology issues. Mr. DeLacy advises clients on political and lobbying compliance issues related to the Federal Election Campaign Act of 1971, the Lobbying Disclosure Act of 1995, Congressional gift and travel rules, and related state and local laws.

Prior to entering private practice, Mr. DeLacy served as counsel to Senator John Warner of Virginia. In that capacity, Mr. DeLacy advised Senator Warner on appropriations and technology issues and served as his Rules Committee counsel during consideration of the Bipartisan Campaign Reform Act of 2002 ("McCain-Feingold"). He also played a key role in passage of the Notification and Federal Employee Anti-discrimination and Retaliation Act of 2002.

Before working for Senator Warner, Mr. DeLacy served as counsel on the Technology Subcommittee of the House Science Committee. In that capacity, he advised then-Chairman James Sensenbrenner on information technology and standards conformity issues including interoperability and technology transfer.

Mr. DeLacy also has experience working in the Virginia General Assembly.
