Colleen M. Leonard is an associate in the Washington, D.C. office of Holland & Knight. Ms. Leonard has also spent a number of years practicing in Holland & Knight's San Francisco office. Colleen has extensive experience representing landlords and tenants in the commercial leasing of shopping centers and outparcels, restaurants, high-rise office buildings, mixed-use projects, raw land and industrial/warehouse facilities. She also represents buyers, developers and sellers in the acquisition, development and disposition of commercial properties; lenders and borrowers in connection with the acquisition, construction and permanent financing and refinancing of commercial properties. She has extensive experience in the continued representation of a large national retail financial institution, in the acquisition of shopping center outparcels and inline space, as well as free-standing locations.
In connection with the foregoing, Ms. Leonard has drafted and negotiated leases, ground leases, reciprocal easement agreements, restrictive covenants, SNDA's, purchase and sale agreements, loan documents, forbearance agreements, environmental agreements, indemnification agreements and license agreements.
Ms. Leonard currently serves as the co-chair of the Women's Initiative program in the D.C. office. Ms. Leonard is a graduate of the firm's Rising Stars mentoring and leadership program, and currently serves as a coordinator of the Rising Stars program.
During law school, Ms. Leonard was the production editor of the Catholic University Columbus School of Law - Law Review.
