Christopher W. Carmichael is an Associate in Holland & Knight’s Chicago office, concentrating in commercial litigation and appeals.

Mr. Carmichael focuses on solving disputes between businesses, and has significant experience with actions for breach of contract, breach of warranty, fraud, consumer fraud, deceptive trade practices, and tortious interference. Mr. Carmichael has obtained and defended requests for temporary restraining orders and preliminary injunctions. In his appellate practice, Mr. Carmichael has briefed and argued appeals in the Illinois Appellate Courts, Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals, and has filed several amicus briefs in the United States Supreme Court.

Prior to joining Holland & Knight, Mr. Carmichael served as law clerk to the Honorable William J. Bauer, Senior Circuit Judge, United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit for the 2001-02 term, and, prior to that, externed for the Honorable Richard D. Cudahy, Senior Circuit Judge, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit in Summer 1999.
