David W. Briggs practices in the area of commercial real estate development and is a member of the Real Estate Practice Group at Holland & Knight. In his 27 years of private practice, Mr. Briggs has focused his practice in and has broad experience with commercial office leasing, acquisitions and sales of commercial real property, construction lending for major office, retail and hotel projects, commercial lending, including letters of credit, lines of credit and land financing, and state and local regulations and controls of real property, with special emphasis in the areas of land use, zoning and historic preservation in the District of Columbia and Virginia. He has provided to clients zoning and land use analysis on a variety of complex development projects, including condominium regimes and on land use easements and covenants. He is active in the firms District of Columbia Practice Group, a cross discipline marketing group providing legal services to clients looking to do business in and with the District of Columbia.

Mr. Briggs has been selected to participate on Technical Advisory Groups (TAGs) to the D.C. Construction Codes Coordinating Board (CCCB).

Prior to joining Holland & Knight, Mr. Briggs was a partner at the law firm of Stohlman, Beuchert, Egan & Smith, and prior to that was senior staff attorney at the Pennsylvania Avenue Development Corporation.
