Elizabeth M. Mitchell is a member of the Litigation Department and concentrates her practice on products liability, including multi-party drug and medical device litigation and toxic torts, and complex business litigation, including contract disputes, business torts, and a variety of corporate governance disputes involving shareholders, boards of directors and partners. Her experience includes multi-district litigation and state and federal class action litigation. In her practice, Ms. Mitchell has investigated and handled both threatened and pending litigation. She has significant experience with all aspects of factual investigation and discovery including electronic discovery. She has managed large document productions including oversight of third-party vendors and contract attorneys, identified and prepared fact witnesses for deposition, identified and developed expert witnesses, and handled fact and expert depositions.
Within the firm, Ms. Mitchell is a participating member of the firm's Products Liability Team, Pharmaceutical and Medical Device Industry Focus Team and has published several articles for the firm's Products Liability newsletter. Ms. Mitchell recently participated in Holland & Knight's 2007 Rising Star program, an intensive and dynamic educational leadership and marketing training program designed to promote women within Holland & Knight. Ms. Mitchell participates in a number of firm initiatives including the Women's Initiative, the Diversity Committee, the provision of pro bono services and assists with conducting lateral and summer associate interviews.
