Guy Farmer is a partner in the firm's Labor and Employment Group. He is experienced in the representation of clients in a variety of industries including manufacturing, distribution, waste management, trucking, retail, hospitality, healthcare including hospitals, financial services, education, construction and government contractors.
Mr. Farmer counsels employers locally, regionally and nationally and represents them in connection with union issues, including resisting union organizing efforts, defending against unfair labor practice charges, appearing in labor arbitrations and negotiating collective bargaining agreements.
Mr. Farmer also represents employers in the full range of employment-related issues. He has defended employers in more than 1,000 cases at the administrative, individual and trial and appellate levels in federal and state courts throughout the country involving allegations of employment discrimination and other employment and labor-related matters. His litigation and appellate practice has included the defense of employers in cases involving individual claims, claims by federal and state governments, and significant class actions.
