Grant McCorkhill's practice focuses on ESOP transactions, ESOP financing, commercial and real estate transactions, and related finance transactions. Mr. McCorkhill represents both borrowers and lenders in ESOP, commercial and real estate transactions. He also represents several real estate developers in property acquisition, development, leasing and disposition.

ESOPs. Mr. McCorkhill has advised companies, trustees and lenders in structuring, financing and documenting ESOP transactions. Mr. McCorkhill has been involved in all stages of ESOP transactions, including development, implementation, leveraged financing and refinancing.

Commercial Real Estate and Lending. Mr. McCorkhill is experienced in all aspects of commercial real estate, including real estate acquisition, development, leasing, disposition, 1031 exchanges, TIF financing, joint ventures and affordable housing.

Mr. McCorkhill recently represented a Chicago bank in a $190 million loan to an ESOP company and another Chicago bank in a $60 million loan to a manufacturing company establishing an ESOP. His recent experience also includes the structuring, negotiation and documentation of the redevelopment of an office building on Michigan Avenue in Chicago, including negotiation of the construction loan, TIF funding, historic tax credit sale financing, as well as joint venture documentation.
