Harry R. Detwiler Jr. practices in the areas of law firm professional responsibility and loss prevention. Mr. Detwiler concentrates his practice on ethics and professional responsibility at Holland & Knight, including management of professional liability claims against the firm, conflict of interest resolution, and advice and education to firm lawyers on professional responsibility issues.
Mr. Detwiler served as a law clerk to The Honorable Maurice M. Paul of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Florida from 1982-1984. From 1984-1995, he practiced in Tallahassee, Florida with Holland & Knight, becoming a partner in 1989. In 1995, he left Holland & Knight to form the firm of Alford & Detwiler, and returned to Holland & Knight in his current position in 1999.
