Jennifer Bjornberg is an associate in the Chicago office. She practices in the firm's Business Law Section with a focus in general corporate matters, mergers and acquisitions, and media and entertainment law.
Service to media and entertainment clients has included assistance in:
- Review and preparation of a variety of production documents, including license and production agreements, waivers and releases, option agreements, and work made for hire agreements.
- Advising a large multi-media company on the maintenance and protection of intellectual property, employee created intellectual property and tax treatment of intellectual property assets.
- Advising a full service media company on issues related to production of a full-length feature documentary.
- Advising clients on issues of "fair use" of copyrighted material.
While attending the University of California, Los Angeles Ms. Bjornberg interned in the Development Department of Focus Features (formerly USA Films). Ms. Bjornberg has volunteered for a variety of legal service organizations including the ACLU of Illinois and Lawyers for the Creative Arts. While in law school, she was a member of the Journal of International Law and Business.
